Neil, Tina and Marilyn all spent significant portions of their professional careers working for Ederer Crane, in Seattle, where they became experts in the design, manufacture, and delivery of custom material-handling equipment. We love challenging, interesting projects and working with organizations that share our values and “can do” attitude.
Neil Skogland
Principal, Crane Master Emeritus
Neil is a Mechanical Engineer, with a 30-year background in design and estimating of custom-engineered cranes and related heavy machinery. He also has a Masters of Business Administration certificate (Executive MBA program, University of Washington), serving as Class President. He is formerly the Chairman of the Engineering Committee and also the Association President for the Crane Manufacturers’ Association of America, and was recognized in 2006 by Hoist Magazine as one of the Top 50 Most Influential Persons in the crane industry worldwide.
Neil is now mostly retired and will consider working on your project if it sounds fun, is interesting, and won’t get in the way of his boating. Your odds increase if you are a friend.
Tina Meadows
Senior Controls Engineer
Tina is an Electrical Engineer, with a Professional Engineer license. She has been involved with some of the most demanding electrical control projects that custom-engineered cranes have achieved in the past 30 years.
The crane business has taken Tina across the country, to Europe and Asia. She’s even had a taste of life off-planet during a stint at Kennedy Space Center where she received a letter of commendation from NASA for her design and testing of the cranes in the Vehicle Assembly Building that handle the Space Shuttle.
Brad Lytle
Senior Mechanical Engineer
After 35 years doing crane work for NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Brad entered the world of private crane consulting in 2016 and joined Eureka! Engineering’s team in 2022. In addition, Brad’s technical expertise has been enhanced by his volunteer service on the ASME Codes and Standards Committee for Cranes for Nuclear Facilities since 1986. He served as the Committee Chair for six of those years.
Marilyn Young Skogland
Principal, Business Leader Emeritus
Marilyn, a degreed lawyer, made the unusual career move from litigator to industrialist. Along the way she’s developed expertise in Manufacturing, Project Management, Contracting, Human Resources, and Industrial Workforce Development. She has a Masters of Business Administration Certificate from the University of Washington’s Executive MBA program, and served on the Board of Directors of the Manufacturing Industrial Council of Seattle. She is an active member of the Rotary Club of Kelso.
Marilyn is also mostly retired, is even more selective than Neil about which projects she will agree to work on.
