At Eureka! Engineering, we are fortunate to continue to support many of the same customers we met during our years at Ederer, as well as new, special material-handling application clients. Eureka!’s support comes in many forms.
Specification Development and Offer Analysis
For one of our primary customers, Chelan County Public Utility District, we provide engineering services through specification writing, drawing review, and troubleshooting of existing equipment.
Sourcing, both Domestic and International
We’ve been called to work on diagnosing and “hands-on” correcting of a gear problem in a day, spent weeks in support of an international nuclear crane start-up, and months working through spec development, vendor evaluation, manufacturing verification and acceptance testing for special-application cranes.
Cost Estimating and Proposal Development
For other customers we provide engineering services related to new equipment procurement and existing equipment evaluation.
Crane Control Integration
We also tackle crane modernization issues. Specifically, ABB DC Drives with Crane Control Software. The crane industry has a long history of using D.C. Controls. Eureka! understands that customers need an option for modern controls without replacing motors, which is required by changing to A.C. controls.
Engineer’s Evaluation and Recommendation
We take on specialty projects, and customers, for which our range of experience is most suited. These projects have included domestic and international nuclear plant-operations, aerospace and scientific equipment, as well as, well-familiar local customer special needs.
Manufacturing Methods and Management
Eureka! has identified ABB as the best replacement for most D.C. Crane Controls. Eureka! Engineering’s Tina Meadows is trained and approved to provide ABB DC drives with crane control software. To date, we have successfully replaced obsolete P & H DC drives and obsolete Ederer DC drives.
